Embark on an unforgettable sun-kissed adventure led by Olympic swimming champion Ioannis Drymonakos, a journey exploring the spectacular Saronic islands, where you’ll discover secret coves, crystal waters, ancient cultures, exciting activities, and mouthwatering cuisine.
You will be based on the lush and peaceful island of Poros, where you’ll enjoy comfortable accommodations and daily excursions on our modern and spacious sailboat.
Every day, you’ll have the chance to dive into the Aegean Sea and explore its stunning waters, reaching a myriad of places you wouldn’t otherwise dream of seeing. Whether you’re a seasoned swimmer or just starting out, you’ll receive a professional assessment right at the start of the cruise and be safely guided, at your own pace, to discover your talent throughout. You’ll have the opportunity to try varied swims and visibly advance your technique from day to day.
This adventure may centre around swimming, but it’s about many other wonderful things too – you’ll also have the chance to experience mesmerising ancient and contemporary culture, indulge in delectable local foods and enjoy our warm hospitality with like-minded people. And after a day’s good 4k swim, you’ll be free enjoy an array of exciting optional activities.
Poros, a tranquil island in the Saronic Gulf’s southern part, will be your home base. With a vibrant main town, fascinating history and delicious cuisine, it’s an idyllic place to discover during your 5-day stay. Positioned in the heart of the Saronic, it makes for the perfect starting place for our breezy, salt-bitten cruises to charming nearby islands like Hydra, Spetses, Aegina and Angistri, as well as Epidaurus, with its legendary ancient theatre and remarkable underwater ruins from thousands of years ago. Each place has its own unique splendour, which you’ll be able to admire from the sea and on land. Every day will also include stops at hand-picked, top-quality places for lunch and visits to magical, pristine places that are only accessible by boat.
Itinerary by Day
You will be transferred from your accommodation in Athens or from the airport to Piraeus port in order to embark to the ferry to Poros Island.
Our aquatic adventure begins! Upon arrival at Poros Island, you and your fellow swimmers will have the morning to settle into your chosen accommodations, be it Niki’s Village, or an alternative option.
You will be notified in advance about our meeting at Nikki’s Village, which will take place as evening approaches, we’ll convene at Niki’s Village swimming pool for a warm introduction, where we can mingle over sunset drinks. Your swimming coaches will outline the following days itinerary and safety issues, addressing any queries that may arise. You will also receive your complimentary Swimming Cruise swimming cap and an inflatable buoy that will accompany you on swims.
OPTIONAL (In the evening, we will go for a scenic, 5-kilometre night run on Poros)
Prepare to sail to the ancient past with a visit to the fascinating ancient world of Epidaurus. In the morning, you can take a 20-minute taxi ride (cost, around 20 euros per person), to visit the awe-inspiring 4th-century BC Theatre of Epidaurus (ticket cost, 12 euros) renowned for its exceptional acoustics and flawless beauty. This magnificent theatre is still in use today.
Following a day of enriching cultural exploration, we’ll embark on a truly unique swimming experience – swimming over the Submerged Ancient City of Epidaurus and marvelling at the astonishing millennia-old underwater ruins!
Max daily swim: 3,5k approximately
Our day will begin with a swim in the vivid emerald waters surrounding Moni Island across Aegina. This serene haven is home to protected species such as deer and peacocks, which wander freely in their unspoiled habitat! At Moni Island, we will visit a unique lunch spot to refuel surrounded by beautiful scenery.
OPTIONAL: In the afternoon, we will grab our triathlon standard bikes go for an invigorating 25k cycle around the island.

Today, we’ll set sail for the enchanting island of Hydra, a haven for artists, poets, musicians, and home to awe-inspiring architecture. This glamorous island also played a key role in the historic Greek Revolution of 1821.
In the morning, embrace the opportunity for a stroll through this car-free town, meandering through its charming alleyways and visiting its fascinating museums and shops.
For our swimming session, we’ll plunge into Hydra’s very deep waters for a rejuvenating swim in the luminous, cobalt sea that stretches along the island’s coastline.
Max daily swim: 2,5 k approximately
Its time to return to Athens, ferry ride to Athens and transfer from the port either to Vouliagmeni or to Athens Airport_END OF SERVICES
