Hidden deep within the lush greenery of Arcadian nature, surrounded by a pristine fir forest, you'll find MANNA, a contemporary retreat that embraces serene luxury and transforms into a mountain resort of well-being and gastronomy.
An expansive valley with rolling hills, towering evergreen trees, enchanting lakes, and the crystal-clear waters of the River Lousios. The air is filled with the scent of pine, moist wood, earth, and the only sound you'll hear is the gentle rustling of the wind.
The hotel's story began between 1927-1929 when Anna Mela, the sister of Pavlos Melas, dedicated her life and fortune to create a sanatorium for soldiers of the Balkan Wars and the Asia Minor Campaign suffering from tuberculosis. The building welcomed patients with tuberculosis from its opening until 1938, when penicillin became widely accessible. After more than eight decades of neglect, the new MANNA encourages guests to slow down and embrace the unhurried flow of life.
The hotel prioritizes food and, specifically, its high quality, in collaboration with Athanagoras Kostakos, the award-winning chef, who creates a traditional yet contemporary gastronomic experience. Following the ethos of Arcadia, the dishes are based on traditional recipes and prepared with high-quality local products, dairy, cold cuts, handmade pasta, and locally sourced meats. MANNA also features a pharmacy-style bar serving a wide variety of malt whiskies and spirits from various countries around the world. The unique ingredients in the drink menu, curated by Athanasios Katsoulas, include fresh herbs and local fir tree honey, all sourced from the highlands of Mount Mainalo.
