Nektarios Farmakis, Regional Governor of Western Greece
Nektarios Farmakis was born in 1980 and grew up in Agrinio, a small city in the Regional Unit of Aetoloakarnania, Greece. He studied at the Law School of Democritus University of Thrace in Greece, where he also completed his postgraduate studies in Civil Procedural Law. He has been an Ombudsman accredited by the Ministry of Justice, Transparency and Human Rights since 2013. He is a lawyer before the Supreme Court. He has been practicing Law since 2006 as a member of the Agrinio Bar Association. He speaks two foreign languages, English and German. He is married to Lawyer Evi Chr. Pappa. They have a daughter and a son.
In the regional elections of November, 2010, at the age of 30, he was elected first as Regional Councilor in Regional Unit of Aetoloakarnania. For many years, with his interventions and proposals to the Regional Council of Western Greece, he has highlighted the need for mitigating intra-regional inequalities, prioritizing regional strategies based on taking advantage of the comparative advantages of each Regional Unit and taking the initiative to add value to anything produced in the Region of Western Greece, by making good use of its human resources, know-how and natural resources.
He was elected Head of the Region of Western Greece in June, 2019 and assumed his duties on 1 September during this year. He was reelected Head of the Region of Western Greece in September 2023.
Vassia Birliraki Kefalogianni, EY ZHN Greece CEO
Vassia Birliraki Kefalogianni is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in destination marketing and tourism development. With a rich background in organizing large-scale events, Vassia has collaborated with global stakeholders to elevate tourism through sports and cultural experiences. She is the CEO of EY ZHN Greece, a leading company in tourism industry for MICE, FIT and international Sport Events.
Dr. Marina - Lida Coutarelli, Founder & President of Spetses mini-Marathon & Spetsathlon
Dr. Marina - Lida Coutarelli has studied communication and political science at Brown University in the United States, and holds a Ph.D. in Communication Crisis Management from the University of Oxford.
She has been honored as one of the 40 most important women of the world in the field of Public Relations of the IPRA (International Association of Public Relations Professionals) and also a National Champion in the RSM Entrepreneur of the Year & Rubain D’ Honneur Recipient category, at the European Business Awards sponsored by RSM. Finally Dr. Coutarelli is part of the Marketing Committee of the Hellenic Olympic Committee.
In 2008 she founded Communication Lab, a boutique Communication Agency widely acknowledged as market leader and pioneer in the field of Media Relations, Crisis Management, Brand Management & Corporate Social Responsibility. Also, she is the founder and president of the organizing committee of the top multi sport events, Spetses mini Marathon and Spetsathlon.
Stamatia Kioutsoukali, Senior ΗR Supervisor Coffee Island
As an experienced HR professional, I have effectively led initiatives focused on well-being and wellness in a corporate environment. During my tenure at Coffee Island as a Senior HR Supervisor and Internal Communications Specialist, I have spearheaded numerous employee-centric initiatives, including training, activities, and wellness events, aimed at increasing employee satisfaction and their overall physical and mental well-being. I am dedicated to creating a supportive work environment, and I believe that such efforts reflect the commitment of HR professionals to align employee needs with corporate objectives in order to achieve long-term success.
Theodoros Kanellopoulos, President of the Peloponnese Volleyball Clubs Association
Born in 1966, originally from Amaliada, married with four children. Theodoros Kanellopoulos has been the President of the Peloponnese Volleyball Association since June 2017. He has previously held administrative roles in sports clubs such as ASA Koroivos (Basketball) and E.Α.Π. (Volleyball), and is currently a board member of the AO Seirios Paralías sports club.
He works for the PPC (Public Power Corporation) group as an Administrative Officer and is actively involved in public affairs through his participation in the board of the employee union EDOP/PPC, as well as regular contributions to the media.
Christos Sarantis, International Athlete of the Roller Club | Coach of Patras Rollers Club
Christos Sarantis was born and raised in Patras. He graduated from the Institute of Oriental Studies in Paris, specializing in Modern Greek Language, and holds postgraduate degrees from the same university and the Sorbonne in Art Theory. He also attended research seminars for a year at the University of Heidelberg and is currently a PhD candidate in the Department of Philology at the University of Patras. He is a founding member of the Patras Roller Skating Club and, as an athlete, has distinguished himself in international marathons, including in Istanbul (2023-2024), Bogotá (2023), Madrid (2023), and Ljubljana (2024). Moreover, he is the first Greek athlete to represent the national roller skating team in the 2024 World Championships.
Eleni Karabela, President and founding member of the Patras Roller Skating Club
Eleni Karabela is the president and founding member of the Patras Roller Skating Club. She was born and raised in Patras. She graduated from the Department of Speech Therapy at the T.E.I. of Ioannina and completed a Master’s program titled "Master MA SEN/ALN" with a specialization in Autism at the University of South Wales in Wales. She runs a private speech therapy practice in Patras and is the owner of AEON Ceramics.
Κonstantinos D. Lampropoulos, Journalist | Sports reporting
Κonstantinos D. Lampropoulos is a journalist, journalism professor, and author. He was born on September 25, 1979, in Patras and studied Economics and Business Administration. However, journalism captured his interest, leading him to start his career in January 2000 at the newspaper "I Gnomi." Since the summer of 2005, he has been part of the journalistic team at the historic newspaper "Peloponnisos" (founded in 1886). He also serves as the chief coordinator at Peloponnisos FM 104.1 and contributes to the newspaper's website, pelop.gr.
He is a member of the Union of Daily Newspaper Journalists of Peloponnese, Epirus, and the Islands (ESIEPIN), the Journalists' Auxiliary Insurance Fund (TEAS), the International Federation of Journalists (I.F.J.), the Panhellenic Association of Sports Journalists (PSAT), and the Association of Historical Writers of Greece. He also teaches journalism and sports journalism at vocational institutes (IEK) in Patras. He is married to Maria Tzola, a philologist.
